I know, it is hard to believe, but I had a good day today. Yes, it is kinda cold and miserable outside, but I had a great nights sleep, which makes such a difference. No headache also awesome. I am in the middle of a 12 week group therapy course Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program. I am finding it challenging, amazing, life changing and a lot of homework. Worth every minute. There is a lot more being done lately with Mindfulness, even in the school system.
It was great to get out of the house and get some fresh air, even if only for a couple of hours – we got out to the gun club, was good to see some of the guys and see if my aim was still on. It takes concentration, focus, coordination, and memory to remember all the SAFE things to do with the handgun before I even lift it to aim at the target. My partner has expanded my appreciation for different handguns, how they are engineered, the safety components required. Not something I grew up with, and I certainly have a lot more respect for the girls at work who have taken the course.
I am reading Tami Hoeg’s new book “The 9th Girl” and I am enjoying it immensely. My keyboard is nuts right now. signing off.
