When I was a new widow, I met another widow whose loss was more mature than mine …one of the things she showed me was to light a candle to bring loved ones closer…..so 21 years later I still light a candle. With a real candle …sorry fire department…..and there is no doubt a glowing candle – like a campfire is calming , soothing and seems to bring both friends standing beside you and friends that have passed on all together. Last Friday night a neighbour lit a small fire in a perfect fire pit and it was wonderful….
